The First Product

...isn't a painting at all, but features one of my photographs of Skyline Drive in Virginia's Shenandoah National Park. So I am officially in business.

Hmm, wish I had a bottle of champagne.

What will I paint?

I've been painting a lot of lighthouses lately, partly because it's good practice -- the shapes are simple so there's room to play with paint and texture instead of stressing about detail -- and partly because I just think painting waves is fun. And I have this nagging feeling this is supposed to be fun.

The American Dream

I'm a shopkeeper! Sort of. On CafePress, that is. So I have no physical store, nor do I have any inventory, nor do I even have any designs uploaded, yet, but I believe in micromovements, and this was a good one.

I will post the link as soon as I have something to sell.

Painting of the Day

I will try to post a new painting or drawing or collage or whatever every day or two. This one is not finished, in my opinion, but it's hanging on our dining room wall until I decide to fiddle with it some more, and fix those translucent trees.
